Product details

Background & context

SAGA comes from the French publisher Studio Tomahawk and is a skirmish game for the ages of great warlords. The second edition appeared in 2018, and the 2022 version gathers the corrections and clarifications published in FAQs since then into one book. The supplement you choose sets the period: from antiquity through the Viking Age to the Hundred Years' War. The German editions are distributed by Stronghold.

On the tabletop

Every game of SAGA starts with this rulebook. It explains how a game runs, how you raise a warband of around 30 figures under your warlord and how you place the SAGA dice on your faction's Battle Board. The Battle Boards themselves come with the supplements, so you also need a book such as Ära der Wikinger, Ära des Alexander or Ära der Ritter before your first battle.
