Background & context

Mithridates VI. von Pontus brachte Rom drei Kriege lang an den Rand seiner Ostpolitik. 88 v. Chr. Legionen, hellenistische Phalangen, Sichelwagen und Flotten prallten dabei aufeinander.

On the tabletop

Rome's Conquest of the East by Maxx Schmitz covers the Mithridatic Wars of 88 to 63 BC for Hail Caesar. Seventy scenarios range from skirmishes through pitched battles to great sieges, along with army lists for Rome and Pontus and new special rules. You play the scenarios on their own or as a campaign using the map-based system, commanding armies and fleets on land and at sea. The book is in English.
