    Product details

    Background & context

The Panther reached the front at Kursk in the summer of 1943 and, once its teething troubles were over, was the best compromise of armour, mobility and gun the Wehrmacht had to offer. That very balance makes it the preferred platform for new weapon systems in Konflikt '47. The rail gun accelerates its projectile electromagnetically instead of with a propellant charge: range and penetration are the argument, its hunger for energy the problem.

    On the tabletop

This Panther-X variant carries a light rail gun capable of destroying any Allied or Soviet tank. In Konflikt '47 you therefore use it as an Axis tank hunter. The rail gun accelerates its projectile electromagnetically rather than with a propellant charge, and range and penetration are its strengths. The kit consists of a plastic Panther from the Bolt Action range and a resin turret with a metal barrel.
