Product details

Background & context

The Punic Wars were a series of major conflicts between Rome and Carthage for supremacy in the Western Mediterranean. The Second Punic War, with Hannibal's campaign across the Alps, particularly shaped ancient military history. The official classification refers to army lists and scenarios for central battles of this period. The rulebook brings this Republican Roman and Carthaginian context into the Epic Battles format.

On the tabletop

This colour softcover contains the complete Hail Caesar rules at Epic Battles scale, plus army lists and scenarios covering the great battles of the Second Punic War in depth. You command Rome or Carthage with Numidians, Iberians and Gauls, from Hannibal's crossing of the Alps in 218 BC via Cannae to Zama in 202 BC. Background and photos of the studio miniatures round off the book. With it you can start playing Hail Caesar Epic Battles straight away.
