The Thor Heavy Assault Mech is the conceptual progenitor of the German heavy mech program - first in the field, first proven, and still today the preferred companion for merciless urban combat. With its 150mm howitzer and all-around armour, it pushes relentlessly through destroyed city streets, systematically leveling enemy positions.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Thor is considered the conceptual trailblazer of the German heavy mech program - it was the first to put Rift technology into practice before it was incorporated into the later Zeus design. Developed as a mobile strongpoint for urban combat, the bitter lessons learned from Stalingrad, Warsaw, and Brussels significantly influenced its design. Deployed alongside the Zeus from April 1946, the Thor takes on the thankless but crucial role of breaching fortified urban areas. Despite being less well-known than its sister mech, it laid the foundation for all subsequent German walker developments.

Thor Heavy Armored Mech is a heavy Konflikt-'47 walker of The Axis faction. On the tabletop, it serves as robust fire support against fortified targets, buildings, and concentrated infantry. Its field artillery designation follows from its described heavy cannon or howitzer armament.
