    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    In the Konflikt '47 universe, heavy personal armor and light walkers have massively reduced the effectiveness of conventional snipers - a normal carbine round can no longer penetrate power armor or walker armor. The Wehrmacht's answer is the revival of heavy anti-tank rifles as precision weapons for high-value targets. Heavy Sniper Teams operate as two-man units: the anti-tank rifleman and spotter coordinate their shots, identify weak points in enemy heavy armor, and can eliminate even scout walkers or heavy infantry squad leaders with well-aimed shots. They thus supplement the Wehrmacht's anti-tank doctrine with a flexible component that is effective even where Panzerschreck teams cannot be deployed.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The German Heavy Sniper Team is the heavily armored variant of the German sniper specialists: a sniper/anti-tank rifleman in power armor plus a spotter/observer. In the game, the team acts as a long-range eliminator against HQ models, MG teams, or weak vehicle positions. The heavy armor allows for more aggressive positioning than regular snipers. A must-have asset in any defensive or counter-sniper-focused Axis list.
