Heavy Rift-Tech armour makes them robust enough to breach enemy lines directly, while their LMGs deliver devastating suppressive fire - the set includes 2 Heavy Grenadiers with light MGs, intended as an addition to an existing Heavy Grenadiers unit.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

In the '47 conflict universe, the Wehrmacht quickly employed Rift-Tech-developed heavy personal armor to re-equip entire infantry units - with the aim of conducting concentrated breakthrough attacks in combination with heavy tanks and tank mechs. As one of the first nations with heavy personal armor, Germany was able to bring this effective technology to the front early on, even if other nations later achieved partially better results with their designs. The LMG variant of the Schwertruppen delivers a massive volume of fire from a relatively short distance - their heavy armor allows them to get significantly closer to enemy positions before bringing their machine guns to bear.

The German Heavy Infantry with LMGs are 2 Heavy Infantry models with Light Machine Guns - the anti-personnel firepower expansion for German Heavy Squad lists. In-game, they act as an integrated LMG team in a regular Heavy Infantry squad or as a standalone MG support unit. Their heavy armour allows them to be positioned close to enemy lines, where the LMG fire can be fully utilized - ideal as squad reinforcement.
