Product details

Background & context

The more heavy Rift armour reached the front, the more formations were equipped entirely with it, and the harder it became to lead them. A platoon of powered armour troops moves differently from infantry, withstands different things and needs different orders. The officer wears the same armour as his men but carries lighter weapons, because he is there to coordinate and not to shoot. The link to battalion is provided by two attendants on foot, because radio regularly fails in the vicinity of active Rift technology.

On the tabletop

An officer in heavy Rift armour leads a platoon of Schwertruppen in Konflikt '47, with two attendants carrying assault rifles who run messages and keep contact with battalion. He wears the same armour as his men but lighter weapons for personal protection. Such heavy Panzergrenadier formations often led an advance together with heavy tanks and panzermechs. This keeps your armoured platoon's command right in the middle of the attack.
