Background & context

In Bolt Action, pins are the currency for everything that makes soldiers under fire slower, less accurate and less willing. Instead of rolling separately for morale, suppression and exhaustion, the system bundles these effects into one number next to the unit. Because dozens of them come up in a game, the way they are displayed makes a noticeable difference to how easy the table is to read. Skytrex is the sister company of Warlord Games and produces the accessories for this.

On the tabletop

In Bolt Action a pin sums up what being under fire does to soldiers: they become slower, less accurate and more hesitant. These four neutral markers in laser-cut MDF show a unit's pin count from 0 to 11 and hold its order die. Since they carry no national emblem, you can use them with any army.
