    Product details

    Background & context

The Littorio class was Italy's first new battleship class in many years, combining high speed with heavy armament. Vittorio Veneto participated in important Mediterranean operations, including Cape Spartivento and Cape Matapan. The ship was damaged several times but remained operational for a long time and was handed over to the Allies after the Italian armistice. Her operational profile represents the heavy units of the Regia Marina in the struggle for the Mediterranean.

    On the tabletop

The Vittorio Veneto belongs to the Littorio class, among the first fast battleships, and carries high-velocity guns. In Victory at Sea she is the heavy ship of your Regia Marina, with which you refight the actions off Cape Spartivento in 1940 and Cape Matapan in 1941 or hunt British Malta convoys, as she did in 1941 and early 1942. She came through the British attack on Taranto undamaged. The model is resin with metal parts.
