Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Pacific was one of the central naval and air theatres of World War II. The Imperial Japanese Navy began the war with a powerful fleet and strong carrier arm, while the US Navy, after initial setbacks, leveraged its industrial strength. Cruisers, destroyers, and carrier aircraft characterized many engagements between island chains, supply lines, and distant bases. This starter set depicts precisely this conflict between American and Japanese forces.

Einsatz im Spiel

The starter set is designed for two players and simulates fast-paced battles between the US Navy and the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Pacific. On the tabletop, it combines cruisers, destroyers, damage markers, ship cards, and rule materials for a complete introduction to Victory at Sea. Tactically, it is suitable for early to late Pacific scenarios featuring torpedo attacks, cruiser battles, and air support.
