    US Navy Fleet is a Victory-at-Sea fleet box containing eight US resin ships, four metal Corsair flights, as well as cards, damage markers and instructions. It provides a strong basis for Pacific fleets with a battleship, carrier, cruisers, destroyers and air support.

    Background & context

    The US Navy became the dominant naval power in the Pacific during World War II. After Pearl Harbor, aircraft carriers remained crucial and became the focal point of American operations. At the same time, battleships, cruisers, and destroyers remained important for fire support, escort duties, and surface engagements. The Fleet Box reflects this mix of carrier air power and classic surface units.

    On the tabletop

    With this box you field an American fleet for Victory at Sea: the carrier USS Essex with four flights of F4U Corsairs, the battleship USS New Mexico, the cruisers Houston, Chester and Portland and three Clemson-class destroyers. In the Pacific the carrier became the US Navy's main weapon, with battleship and cruisers in company, and the New Mexico is well suited to supporting landings. The destroyers can also hunt U-boats in the Atlantic. Ship cards, damage sliders and assembly instructions are included.
