    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Imperial Japanese Navy evolved into a modern high-seas fleet with a strong carrier arm before World War II. Japan recognized early on the importance of air power at sea and deployed this capability at Pearl Harbor, in the Indian Ocean, and at Midway. At the same time, the fleet possessed powerful battleships, cruisers, and aggressive destroyer formations. The fleet box reflects this combination of carrier aircraft and heavy surface units.

    The IJN Fleet Box represents a Japanese core fleet for the Pacific War. In the game, it combines carrier, battleship, cruiser, and destroyer roles into an offensive fleet with strong striking power. It is suitable for early carrier operations, mid-game fleet engagements, and late-game defensive scenarios in the Pacific.
