    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    Japanese naval aviators played a decisive role in the Pacific War, demonstrating the striking power of massed air attacks early in the conflict. The Nakajima B5N Kate was an important torpedo bomber and became known for early attacks on Allied fleets. The Mitsubishi G3M Nell served as a maritime reconnaissance aircraft and bomber, while the Kawanishi N1K1 George represents a later fighter development. The set thus covers early and later roles of Japanese air forces.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The IJN Aircraft Pack reinforces Japanese fleets with air strikes, reconnaissance, and carrier support. On the game board, it extends the range of Japanese operations and forces opponents into air defense and maneuvering. Due to the broad role of the aircraft, classification across all phases of the Pacific War is plausible.
