Product details

Background & context

US infantry was the only army of the war to issue a self-loading rifle across the board, the M1 Garand. In addition there was the handy M1 carbine for crews, the Thompson for squad leaders and the BAR as the mainstay of the squad's firepower. This mix explains why American squads fired considerably more rounds per second at short range than most of their opponents.

On the tabletop

Five M1 Garands, five M1903 Springfields, one of them scoped, two M1 carbines, two Thompsons, an M3 Grease Gun, a BAR, an M1897 shotgun and an M1A1 bazooka form the core of this weapon frame. Colt M1911s, hand grenades, a fighting knife, binoculars and various pouches complete it. Use it to re-arm American figures in Bolt Action, give your sniper his rifle or equip conversions. The US infantry issued the Garand across the board.
