In Konflikt '47, the Soviets developed a weapon that uses Ursine DNA to create 2.5-meter tall man/bear hybrids capable of matching any enhanced infantry on the battlefields of 1947. Powerful but barely controllable, the Ursus soldiers are deployed in the most contested sectors to tip the balance in favor of the Red Army.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

In the Conflict '47 universe, the Soviet Union took its answer to the German super-soldier program in its own unique direction: using ursine-based DNA modification and Rift-enhanced hemotype serums, they created 8-foot-tall human/bear hybrids that can physically match the toughest Axis creatures. Almost unbeatable in close combat - tough and strong - they can smash through any enemy formation that gets in their way. Their tactical deployment requires covering fire or transport by standard truck (suitable for 5 Ursus) to quickly bring them into the midst of enemy lines, where their effect is most devastating.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Soviet Ursus Infantry is the small 3-man variant of the bear-like shock troopers. In the game, they act as a compact special unit with massive close combat strength and Tough/Slow special rules. Three models are well suited as HQ escort or as reinforcements for regular infantry - ideal for players who want to add an Ursus accent to a standard Soviet list without deploying an entire Ursus squad.
