Background & context

Ohne die Niederländer wäre Wellington bei Quatre Bras zu spät gekommen. Generalstabschef Constant-Rebecque hielt die Kreuzung entgegen ausdrücklichem Befehl besetzt und nahm Marschall Ney damit den einfachen Zugriff. Zwei Tage später führte Chassé, in französischen Diensten wegen seiner Vorliebe fürs Bajonett spöttisch General Bajonett genannt, seine Division gegen die Garde. Der junge Prinz von Oranien befehligte das I. Korps und wurde bei Waterloo aus dem Sattel geschossen.

On the tabletop

Baron Chassé, Baron de Constant-Rebecque and the Prince of Orange lead the Dutch troops of your 1815 Allied army in Black Powder. The Prince takes command as corps commander, Chassé leads a division and Constant-Rebecque serves as chief of staff. Scenarios include Quatre Bras, where Constant-Rebecque held the crossroads against orders, and Waterloo, where Chassé's division advanced against the Guard. The figures are cast in Warlord Resin.
