Product details

Background & context

The GAZ-AA was the Soviet licence-built version of the Ford AA and came off the line in Nizhny Novgorod from 1932. The three-axle GAZ-AAA variant followed shortly afterwards and carried considerably more load across soft ground. That is exactly why the Red Army's specialist bodies ended up on its chassis: radio stations, repair workshops, medical and staff cabins. These box vans usually stood a little way behind the front, but they were everywhere that orders and spare parts came from.

On the tabletop

This resin box body sits on the frame of the three-axle GAZ-AAA and turns the flatbed into an enclosed van. You will need Rubicon kit 280063. Behind your Soviet line it can serve as a radio station, a field workshop or a staff vehicle. In a scenario it becomes a target the enemy wants to knock out.
