Product details

Background & context

The French and Indian War (1754-1763) was the North American theater of the global Seven Years' War. Indigenous nations such as the Iroquois, Delaware, Miami, and Huron fought on either the French or British side depending on their alliances, or pursued their own objectives. Small warrior bands used terrain, scouting skills, and ambushes to threaten columns, forts, and settlements.

On the tabletop

Eighteen warriors and a sachem make a complete Woodland war party for the French and Indian War in Black Powder. Split the warriors into two or three smaller groups that advance through the woods in cover and strike at flanks and supply routes. The sachem stands at their head as the leader figure; historically men followed such a leader of their own free will. Alongside French troops or as a force of its own, the war party suits raids and ambushes.
