    Background & context

    Finnlands Panzerabwehr bestand lange aus 37mm Bofors und erbeuteten sowjetischen Rohren - gegen T-34 und KV-1 reichte das nicht mehr. Ab 1943 lieferte Deutschland deshalb rund zweihundert Pak 40, die bei den Finnen als 75 PstK/40 geführt wurden. Ihren großen Auftritt hatten sie im Sommer 1944 auf der Karelischen Landenge, als die Rote Armee zur Großoffensive antrat und jedes einzelne Rohr zählte.

    On the tabletop

    The 75 PstK/40 is the German Pak 40 in Finnish service, delivered to Finland from 1943. For your Finnish army it is the answer to the T-34 and KV-1, against which the older light guns were no longer enough. It saw its big moment in the summer of 1944 on the Karelian Isthmus. Keep it in cover and wait until heavy Soviet tanks roll into its field of fire. The crew comes with the gun.
