Product details

Background & context

The T-34 entered production in 1940 in Kharkov and surprised the German troops in the summer of 1941, because their anti-tank weapons barely penetrated its sloped armour. Wide tracks and a diesel engine kept it mobile in mud and snow. It was improved continually during the war, finally with a turret for an 85 mm gun. Far more than 50,000 were built in total, and many armies used it well after 1945.

On the tabletop

The T-34 is the standard tank of Soviet formations in Brickskrieg. It combines a powerful gun, sloped armour and good cross-country ability, and several vehicles together make a mass that rolls over the opponent. Against German Tigers and Panthers it plays on numbers, not individual strength.
