    Product details

    Background & context

The Red Army fought on a front of enormous extent where foot troops could hardly keep pace. Its own vehicle fleet did not cover all formations, and only deliveries from the USA from 1942, above all Studebaker trucks, made larger parts of the rifle troops mobile. In addition, riflemen rode into battle on tanks as tank-borne infantry. Motorisation nevertheless remained patchy, and many formations kept marching on foot.

    On the tabletop

This kit puts a Soviet infantry unit on wheels on the table. It reaches objectives sooner than foot troops and switches quickly to wherever the enemy attacks. As an escort for T-34 and KV-1 it follows up behind the tanks and secures what they fight their way through. If you are building a Soviet army of tanks and infantry, this is the mobile foundation.
