Product details

Background & context

The Panzer IV was planned as an escort tank with a short 75 mm gun to support infantry in the attack. It fought as early as 1939 in Poland and was improved again and again during the war, finally with a longer gun and extra armour against the T-34. Around 8,500 vehicles were built, making it the most produced German tank. Allies such as Romania, Hungary and Finland used it as well.

On the tabletop

The Panzer IV is the most versatile German vehicle, because you can field it in every phase of the war. With the long 75 mm gun of the real tank you engage enemy tanks at medium range and support your infantry at the same time. As the backbone of a tank unit it fits lists from Poland 1939 to Berlin 1945.
