Product details

Background & context

The Panzer III was developed in the 1930s as the main battle tank of the Wehrmacht, while the Panzer IV was meant to support the infantry. It fought in Poland, France and at the start of the Russian campaign, first with a 37 mm gun, from 1940 with the stronger 50 mm gun. Against the Soviet T-34 its armament was no longer enough in 1941 and 1942. Its chassis lived on in the Sturmgeschütz III, which stayed in production for many years.

On the tabletop

In Brickskrieg the Panzer III is the centrepiece of German lists from 1939 to 1942. With its 50 mm gun you can take on light and medium tanks, while heavier opponents push it to its limits. Later it suits infantry support against light vehicles and positions.
