Product details

Background & context

The PaK 38 in 5 cm calibre reached the troops from 1940 and replaced the 3.7 cm PaK 36. It sufficed against the tanks of the first war years, but against the Soviet T-34 and KV-1 from 1941 only at short range. It was therefore increasingly replaced by the 7.5 cm PaK 40 but stayed in service until the end of the war.

On the tabletop

Three PaK 38 with crews form an anti-tank unit that backs up your infantry against vehicles. The light gun can be moved quickly and fits into trenches, woods and ruins, where it plays its strength from cover. Against heavier armoured opponents you will need terrain protection and flanking positions.
