Product details

Background & context

The 8.8 cm Flak 18, 36 and 37 was developed in the 1930s and was first tried against ground targets in the Spanish Civil War. In France in 1940 and from 1941 in North Africa it became a feared anti-tank weapon that engaged vehicles at ranges where hardly any other gun could do anything. Its reputation lasted until 1945.

On the tabletop

The 88mm battery is a versatile gun for German armies: it serves as an anti-aircraft gun against aeroplanes, as an anti-tank weapon against vehicles and can engage infantry in positions. Three guns with their crews form one unit. With your purchase you get online access to the artillery add-on rules, which let you make full use of the guns.
