The Churchill was a heavy British infantry tank with thick, flat armour. This brick model at roughly 1:100 scale comes unpainted and is snapped together without glue.

Background & context

The Churchill was conceived in 1939 and 1940 to requirements that recalled the trench fighting of the First World War: a slow tank to accompany infantry across shattered ground. The first vehicles suffered from teething troubles, and only revisions made it dependable. It became known at Dieppe in 1942 and later fought in Tunisia, Italy and north-western Europe. Its chassis also carried special vehicles such as flamethrowers and bridgelayers and stayed in service into the 1950s.

On the tabletop

Field the Churchill when your infantry needs a tank that can take punishment. It advances slowly but steadily, soaks up hits and covers your squads as they storm fortified positions. The real tank received ever stronger guns over the course of the war, finally a 75 mm gun. In Brickskrieg it is the counterpart to the fast British cruiser tanks.
