Product details

Background & context

The 101st Airborne jumped over Normandy on the night leading into 6 June 1944, widely scattered and without heavy weapons. Its fire support came from light howitzers that came down in pieces under cargo parachutes and first had to be found. At Bastogne in December 1944 the division stood encircled in the snow and had to think twice about every shell.

On the tabletop

With the Screaming Eagles design, these two markers belong with a 101st Airborne force in Bolt Action. In Normandy the division's fire support came from light howitzers dropped by cargo parachute, and in December 1944 it was surrounded in Bastogne. On the table, place the marker where your mortar or observer has just ranged in.
