    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    Black Seas is set in the age of sail warfare, approximately 1770 to 1830. During this period, frigates, brigs, and ships-of-the-line shaped the naval conflicts of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Trade protection, blockades, and fleet actions formed the strategic framework of many engagements.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The set serves as a complete introduction to Black Seas, bringing two small sailing squadrons directly to the table. The frigates and brigs are suitable for maneuvering, broadside, and boarding actions in the age of sail warfare. With its rulebook, game materials, and two fleets, it is particularly well-suited for introductory rounds and balanced duels.
