Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

The Wasa sank on her maiden voyage in 1628 while still in Stockholm harbour, and after being raised she now stands in the Vasa Museum. Airfix reproduces King Gustavus Adolphus's warship in 1:144 with 229 parts, and the built model measures 486 mm. The richly decorated stern takes a lot of time, as you paint its figures one by one. At skill level 4 the kit is meant for experienced modellers and needs a wide spot in the display cabinet.
