Product details

Background & context

Between 1941 and 1945 the US Army grew from a small professional force to millions of men, and the rifle platoon remained its smallest tactical currency. For tabletop gaming this mainly means mass: whole companies need to be fielded, replaced and expanded. Not every figure in the third rank has to be a fully equipped individual piece. Older frames like this one are intended for exactly this kind of filling out.

On the tabletop

This is the older US infantry frame, still without weapon parts: five bodies, four standing or walking and one kneeling, plus heads, arms, equipment and five round bases. Take the weapons from your own spares or from the US weapon frame. In Bolt Action this lets you fill out whole companies or build figures for conversions and dioramas. The newer version with weapons is the 2018 frame.
