Product details

Background & context

In the US Army heavy powered armour has long ceased to be a trial series and is standard issue for whole companies. For a formation to take the field fully armoured, the leaders had to follow suit: their suits were given a more powerful radio set so that orders do not get stuck at the steel skin. Only this makes it possible to field Armoured Companies as complete battalions at all. The officer wears the same tin as his men and leads from correspondingly far forward.

On the tabletop

An officer in heavy armour with an enhanced radio and two attendants lead your American armoured infantry in Konflikt '47. Any platoon with at least two Armoured Infantry squads can be led by him instead of the usual officer. This keeps the command under the same protection as the squads, able to advance with them at the head of an attack. The more powerful radio ensures orders get through despite the armour.
