Background & context

The 1/4-ton trailer was the inconspicuous half of the pairing and yet it doubled the payload of the vehicle. In it travelled ammunition boxes, radio sets, rations, tools or simply the baggage of a staff. Because it shared the track width of its tow vehicle, it followed it through mud and fords too. It was built in large numbers by Bantam and other suppliers.

On the tabletop

Two small vehicles for scenes in 1:72: the light jeep and its trailer, plus a driver and a second soldier. The top can be removed, and cargo is supplied for the trailer. The marking supplied is a vehicle of the American 1st Infantry Division as it drove in Normandy in June 1944. In your 20 mm games the pair serves as a staff or liaison vehicle, and in a diorama it adds to a command post or a convoy on the road.
