    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

Bismarck and Tirpitz come here as kits only in 1:400, so you supply your own paints and glue. The sister ships differ only in details; improvements made the Tirpitz heavier, and she is still the largest battleship ever completed in Europe. Their paths went very different ways: the Bismarck was lost in May 1941 after Operation Rheinübung, while the Tirpitz spent years in Norwegian fjords and sank near Tromsø in November 1944. Built as a pair, they show both careers side by side.
