Background & context

Die Bf 108 war eigentlich ein Sportflugzeug: Messerschmitt baute sie 1934 für den Europarundflug, und Elly Beinhorn flog mit einer Taifun an einem Tag von Berlin nach Istanbul und zurück. Ganzmetallrumpf, Einziehfahrwerk und Landeklappen waren bei einem Viersitzer damals eine Sensation und lieferten die Vorlage für die Bf 109. Im Krieg diente die Taifun der Luftwaffe als Kurier- und Verbindungsmaschine, nach 1945 baute Frankreich sie als Nord 1000 weiter.

The Bf 108 B Taifun is a four-seat touring aircraft that the Luftwaffe used as a courier and liaison machine during the war. The box contains 36 parts in 1:72, acrylic paints, a brush, glue and a decal sheet. With so few parts, the kit suits your first aircraft model. As a display model the Taifun stands next to a Bf 109, for which it served as the pattern, and in a diorama it fits at the edge of a forward airfield.
