Product details

Background & context

The 2e DB drove the diesel M4A2 variant because the US Army preferred to pass this series on to its allies and kept the petrol versions for its own formations. Every vehicle in the division carried a name of its own, mostly places, rivers or battlefields from French history, along with the Cross of Lorraine in the divisional insignia. Anyone building this kit is therefore painting not so much a type of tank as a particular unit.

On the tabletop

This starter pack contains the M4A2 Sherman in 1:72 scale with decals of the 2e DB, acrylic paints, brush and glue. The division under General Leclerc drove the diesel M4A2, as the US Army preferred to pass this series on to its allies. Each of its tanks carried its own name, often after places or battlefields of French history, and the division badge bore the Cross of Lorraine. With the decals you apply the division's markings to your model.
