Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

This 1:72 Spitfire is the late LF Mk XVI, recognisable by its short clipped wings, bubble canopy and slimmer fin. The single marking belongs to an RAF squadron in 1945. It shows the Spitfire as it attacked ground targets in north-west Europe in the last months of the war. As a display model it contrasts with the early Battle of Britain versions, and in 20 mm scale it suits gaming tables set in north-west Europe in 1944 and 1945.
