The set contains six 12mm/1:144 scale T-34 tanks with options for T-34/76, T-34/85 and chKZ cast turrets. Tank riders, various tank commanders, and spoked and disc road wheels make the kit flexible for Soviet armoured units of World War II. The T-34 was known for its sloped armour, mobility, and its upgrade from 76.2 mm to 85 mm from 1944 onwards.

Background & context

Als die Wehrmacht 1941 einmarschierte, traf sie auf einen Panzer, für den ihre Panzerabwehr nicht ausgelegt war: schräg gepanzert, breitkettig im Schlamm, mit einer 76,2-mm-Kanone. Der T-34 war dabei kein Präzisionsgerät, sondern auf Massenfertigung getrimmt, und Werke wie das Tscheljabinsker chKZ schoben Gussturm-Varianten mit sichtbaren Fertigungsspuren heraus. Als die deutschen Panzer 1943 aufrüsteten, zog die Rote Armee mit größerem Turm und 85-mm-Kanone nach. Infanterie fuhr auf den Wannen mit, weil Lastwagen fehlten.

On the tabletop

From six hulls and three turret types you build the T-34 of 1941 to 1945 in 12 mm: with the 76 mm gun for the early years and with 85 mm from 1944. Spoked or dished road wheels match the model to its production period. The tank riders sit on top, the way Soviet infantry often rode to the front on tanks, and commanders look out of the hatches. In games you field the T-34s in numbers and push forward on speed and sloped armour.
