Product details

Background & context

The Bedford QLT was the troop-carrying variant of the QL three-tonner: box body, benches for around thirty men, found in almost every British division from 1941. Crews spent hours in it on dusty tracks in North Africa and on farm tracks in Normandy. On the gaming table such a vehicle only really comes alive when heads look out over the sides; empty, it looks like a removal van.

On the tabletop

Ten seated British infantrymen with weapons and kit fill the back of your Bedford QLT, the vehicle this frame was originally designed for. With minimal adjustment they fit just as well into Bren Carriers, half-tracks or Kangaroos in your British Bolt Action army. The figures can be assembled in several arrangements, for dioramas too. Your transports then look occupied on the table rather than empty.
