Product details

Background & context

From 1939 the light armoured cars Sd.Kfz 222 and 223 served with the reconnaissance battalions of German divisions. The 222 carried a 2 cm cannon and an MG in an open turret, protected against grenades by folding wire screens. The 223 was the radio version with a large frame aerial over the hull and a single MG. Both served in Poland, France, North Africa and on the Eastern Front and remained in use until the end of the war.

On the tabletop

Depending on how you build it, your German Bolt Action army gains an armed scout car or a radio car. The 222 with 2 cm cannon and MG scouts ahead of your force and engages infantry and light vehicles, while the 223 with its frame aerial accompanies it as a command vehicle. You can field it from the Polish campaign to 1945, including the desert. Box, decals, gaming accessories and guide are missing, so add markings, Order Dice and markers yourself.
