    Product details

    Background & context

The Tiger I reached the front in autumn 1942 and quickly became a bogeyman: an 8.8 cm gun, 100 mm of frontal armour, practically invulnerable to Allied crews at normal combat ranges. However, only around 1,350 were built, a marginal figure compared with the tens of thousands of Shermans and T-34s. It also consumed vast amounts of fuel, was too heavy for many bridges and broke down with gearbox failures more often than it was knocked out.

    On the tabletop

Without glue or brush you build a Tiger I in 1:35 scale from 154 push-fit bricks. The turret turns, the road wheels roll and the tracks are made of hinged links. A sticker sheet provides the markings, and colour instructions guide you through the build step by step. The finished model stands up to play on the floor and afterwards sits on the shelf as the German heavy tank of 1942.
