On the tabletop

Round 25 mm bases with a hollow bottom are hard to magnetise with flat sheet because it only touches the rim. These ten 21 mm discs consist of 1 mm magnetic sheet on 2.2 mm hard foam and fill the recess almost completely. They stand about 0.2 mm proud of the base rim, so the magnetic layer actually touches the metal. As a bonus, the foam adds a little weight to the light base.
