Product details

Background & context

The M10 Wolverine, officially the 3-inch Gun Motor Carriage M10, was the most numerous American tank destroyer of World War II. It utilized an M4 Sherman-based chassis and carried its 3-inch M7 gun in an open-topped turret. Its combination of mobility, anti-tank armament, and revolving turret made it a central vehicle in the US tank destroyer doctrine. Despite more powerful successors, the M10 remained in service until the end of the war. Vehicles of this type were also supplied to Allied forces.

On the tabletop

Six M10s in 12 mm represent an American tank destroyer battalion rushed to wherever enemy armour breaks through. The 3-inch gun in the open-topped turret handles most German tanks, but the thin armour calls for a covered position. In games you wait behind hedges or slopes until enemy vehicles come into range rather than attacking yourself. A decal sheet is included.
