Description

From the spring of 1943, dark yellow RAL 7028 came from the factory as the base colour, while crews applied olive green and red-brown themselves. Those are exactly the three shades in this set, as pens rather than bottles.

• 1 marker RCM018 RAL 7028 dark yellow (acrylic paint)

Product details

Background & context

AK Interactive's RC Markers range brings the felt-tip principle to the modelling hobby: quick, clean and with no airbrush at all. This set brings together late German AFV camouflage colours and is aimed particularly at beginners and at experienced modellers who want to lay in individual details quickly. For whole models the markers are no substitute for classic brush or airbrush painting, but as a tool for details and basecoats they make life a good deal easier.

On the tabletop

The three markers hold the camouflage colours of German tanks from 1943: Dark Yellow RAL 7028 as the base colour, and Olive Green RAL 6003 and Red Brown RAL 8017 for the disruptive pattern. Over the dark yellow you draw the other two colours as stripes or blotches straight from the tip, without mixing paint or setting up the airbrush. On Bolt Action vehicles they also serve for touching up chipped edges and for small parts such as jerrycans and tools.
