Product details

Background & context

The Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. B, called King Tiger by the Allies, reached the front in 1944 and at almost 70 tonnes was one of the heaviest tanks of the war. Its 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 and thick, sloped frontal armour made it nearly invulnerable from the front. Against that stood an overstretched drivetrain, high fuel consumption and fewer than 500 vehicles built. Heavy tank battalions used it in Normandy, on the Eastern Front and in the Ardennes.

On the tabletop

As a heavy tank with a long 8.8 cm gun, the King Tiger threatens any enemy vehicle in Bolt Action. Its gun works best across open ground, while your infantry secures nearby buildings and woodland edges from which anti-tank teams could emerge. The frames make one complete vehicle. Decals, Order Dice and damage markers are not included, so add them from your own stock.
