Product details

Background & context

The Jagdpanzer 38(t), later known as Hetzer, appeared in 1944 on the chassis of the Czech Panzer 38(t) and was built in Prague and Pilsen. Its low, sloped armour and 7.5 cm Pak 39 made it small, cheap to produce and hard to hit. Around 2,500 were completed by the end of the war, mostly for the anti-tank battalions of infantry divisions. Hungary also received a number of vehicles.

On the tabletop

The frames build one Hetzer for German armies in Bolt Action from mid-1944. The 7.5 cm gun is fixed in the low superstructure, so you turn the whole vehicle to face its target and wait for enemy tanks from cover. The commander goes in the hatch. As box, decals, gaming accessories and assembly guide are missing, take markings, Order Dice and damage markers from your own stock. This is how you turn a single Hetzer into a platoon.
