    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Hawker Hurricane was the most produced British fighter aircraft of World War II and formed the backbone of the Royal Air Force in the early war years. Its robustness and versatility made it a reliable asset in numerous theaters of war - from the deserts of North Africa to the Mediterranean and the Eastern Front, where it was supplied to the Soviet Union in large numbers as part of aid programs. Despite increasingly superior opponents, the Hurricane maintained an important role until the end of the war due to its resilience and adaptability.
