Product details

Background & context

The real rocket launcher was developed in 1943, after US bazookas captured in North Africa had gone to Germany. The calibre grew to 88 millimetres, and because the backblast hit the firer in the face, the large sheet-metal shield was added, the feature by which the weapon is recognised at once. In Konflikt '47 an even heavier variant is mounted on the heavy armour, which brings the squad as close to a vehicle as makes any sense at all with a shaped charge.

On the tabletop

The Panzerschreck fires a large-calibre shaped-charge rocket, with a shield protecting the firer. In Konflikt '47 the Schwertruppen carry an even heavier version of this weapon. Their armour lets the team get closer to enemy vehicles than unprotected infantry could. Move it through cover towards tanks or walkers and fire at short range. Accompanying Schwertruppen keep enemy infantry off its back.
