Product details

Background & context

The Balkenkreuz (beam cross) was used as a military emblem and identification mark by German armed forces in World War II. On vehicles and equipment, it primarily served for rapid identification in combat and from the air. This dice set takes up this faction motif for historical Bolt Action games without itself being a historical piece of equipment.

On the tabletop

From 1918 the Balkenkreuz marked German aircraft, and in the Second World War tanks and vehicles too, so they could be recognised at a distance and from the air. The bag and the D6 of this set carry exactly this sign. In Bolt Action you draw the order dice of your German army from the bag and use the dice for shooting, close combat and morale.
