Background & context

On the tabletop

In 1851 the Flying Cloud sailed from New York to San Francisco in 89 days and 21 hours, setting a record. She was navigated by Eleanor Creesy, the captain's wife, using current charts and careful weather observation. From 126 parts you build the clipper in 1:200 scale as a display model with a 406 mm hull and tall masts. The many small parts call for some building experience, and paints and glue are not part of the kit.
